Mr Patrick David Knox Jr

Patrick (Pat) David Knox Jr age 48 of Foley Alabama went to be with our Lord on September 2, 2022. Patrick was born on July 5, 1974, to Pat Knox and Denise Knox. He is survived by his wife; Amanda Thompson Knox, parents; Pat Knox and Denise Knox, children; Selena Ignots, Morgan Hayes, and Trey Knox, grandson; Sawyer Ignots, half-sisters; Paula and Paige Jorgensen, aunts; Pam Bertolla (Louis), Tina Hochradel (Steve), Anita Clarke (Rick), uncle; Larry Nall (Janis), his first cousins; Jenny Nall Petrandis and Greg Johnston, Landon Clarke and his nieces and nephews; Curt Winstead, Alex Winstead, Jack Winstead, Callie Rich, and Andrew Lamb. He met Amanda Lee Thompson Knox, and they began dating in 1998. They were later married March 16, 2002. They were a perfect match for each other; soul mates, best friends, and the Love of each other’s life. They were truly a dream team often calling each other “Buddy”. Always supporting one another completely, each one was the other’s “rock”. They balanced each other; when one was weak the other supplied the strength needed to meet the challenge. They raised their three children together Selena Ignots (Aaron) Morgan Hayes (Zach) and Trey Knox. His children were his heart. Pat was very involved in their sports, coaching many of their teams, and supporting their dreams and hobbies. He never missed an event that his children were involved in. Patrick’s family was first and foremost in his life. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Son, Uncle and the best Grandfather (Biggs) ever. Patrick’s larger than life personality attracted plenty of friends, having friendships that lasted over 40 years. Patrick never knew a stranger. He was the most loyal, funny, charming, and honest man (whether you liked it or not). Friends were like family to Pat, he loved the “crew”! Most events were held at “Fort Knox”, where all were welcome and made to feel at home upon entering the home of Pat and Amanda. Patrick had a passion for the game of football that started as a child and continued into adulthood, putting him in the position to become a city league football coach for the Foley Lions where he touched many lives in the community. Everyone knew he loved Alabama Football and loved having everyone together at Fort Knox to watch the game and have a good time. If he wasn’t watching football, he was happiest in and on the water. Time on the boat with friends or just soaking in the river. Wherever or whatever Pat was doing a good time was going to be had! He will be loved and missed every day for the rest of our lives.
