Mr. John Paul "Johnny" O'Neal

In Loving Memory of John “Johnny” Paul O’Neal March 12, 1957 ~ December 22, 2017 John “Johnny” Paul O’Neal, 60, of Foley, Alabama was pronounced dead at the scene of a big-rig accident on I-40 in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday, December 22, 2017. Born in Akron, Ohio on March 12, 1957 to Barbara L. (Miller) and John C. O’Neal. He moved to California in 1960 where he lived for 38 years before moving to Alabama. Johnny was an independent contractor/driver/trainer for Stevens Transport of Dallas, Texas. As a trainer and mentor, he had a strong desire for all his trainee’s to succeed. He loved his job and had received many awards for his accomplishments over the last several years. He loved traveling, photography, and fishing among many other things. He was an avid NASCAR and Elvis Presley fan. Johnny is survived by: Son of heart, Evan Jordan O’Neal of Cantonment, FL Mother, Barbara L. O’Neal of Summerdale, AL Sister, Laura L. (Dennis) DeRoche of Foley, AL Brother, Richard C. O’Neal of Loxley, AL Aunt, Christina L. Amenta of Summerdale, AL Uncle, Richard Yeager of Long Beach, CA Nephew, Anthony (Tony) O’Neal, great nephews, Levi A. and Landon A. O’Neal of Roseville, CA Niece, Stephanie L. (Preston) Cryan of Foley, AL Nephew, Dustin J. (Katie) DeRoche, great nephews, Gavin M. and Jack W. DeRoche, great niece, Alex Elise of Summerdale, AL Cousin and best friend, Frank (Laura) Cardoza Special friend, Cherilyn Jordan and daughter, Olivia of Cantonment, FL Longtime friend, Bill Scarola of Silverhill, AL Many other relatives and friends He is preceded in death by his father, John C. O’Neal and brother, James “Jimmy” A. O’Neal; Paternal grandparents, Donald and Dorothy (Spade) (O’Neal) Suggs Maternal grandparents, John and Elise (Moeller) Miller A memorial service will be held at Pine Rest Funeral Home, 16451 Hwy 98, Foley, Alabama 36535 at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Immediately following service a luncheon will be served at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Parrish Hall behind Church) at 10800 Saint John Lane, Magnolia Springs, Alabama 36555.
