Mrs. Charlotte Grant

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlotte Grant, a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, on January 10, 2025. Born on February 17, 1932, Charlotte lived a life filled with love, kindness, and service. Charlotte is survived by her children, Debra Powers, Sabra Holbach, Cathi Grant (Kenny) Loeser, John (Michelle) Grant, and Randy (Ginger) Grant. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Powers, Douglas (Shana) Grant, Carl (Judi) Grant, Christopher Holbach, Nicole Grant, Marilyn Grant, Jessica Holbach, Laura Grant, Madison (Cameron) Maddox, Jordan Loeser, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Harris Carl Grant, Sr.; her son, Harris Carl (Sonny) Grant, Jr.; her father, Henry H. Davis; her mother, Mary Mozingo; her step-mother, Mildred Davis; her son-in-law, Francis Powers; granddaughter, Karla Powers; brothers, Bob Davis, Ronald Scarborough, James Scarborough, and George Johnson. Charlotte married Harris Carl Grant, Sr. in 1950 and together nurtured a family that was the cornerstone of her life. Despite facing the challenges of raising six children, Charlotte found joy in her family’s love and unity, considering it one of her greatest accomplishments. Known for her friendly, welcoming, and kind personality, Charlotte cherished the company of her dog, Gracie, who was an ever-present companion. A true Crimson Tide fan, she also loved activities like fishing on the Miss Mert, singing in the choir, making wedding cakes for family and friends, and nurturing her plants and flowers. Charlotte’s legacy is her profound wish for her family and friends to love and serve the Lord, a reflection of her own deep faith and dedication. She is remembered for her warmth, her fortitude, and the radiant joy she brought into every life she touched. A viewing for Charlotte will be held on January 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Pine Rest Funeral Home & Memorial Park. This will be followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at the same venue. We invite all who were part of Charlotte’s life to join us as we commemorate her well-lived life and bid her our final farewells.
