Virginia F. “Ginger” Chaudron, loving wife and mother of three children died unexpectedly at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the age of 82. Ginger was born on August 14, 1939, in Hackleburg, Alabama to Roy Frederick and Lena (Crowe) Frederick. She married Leon Chaudron on August 13, 1960. She was preceded in death by her Father, Roy Frederick of Scottsboro, Alabama; Mother, Lena Crowe Yielding of Hamilton, Alabama, and son, Mark S. Chaudron. Ginger is survived by her husband Leon, son Mike Chaudron (Donna) of Houston, Texas, daughter Melissa House (Chris) of Gulf Shores, Alabama; grandsons Michael Chaudron (Kaylin) and Andrew Chaudron (Cayla) of Houston, Texas, Christopher House of Gulf Shores, Alabama; and granddaughter Kristen House of Gulf Shores, Alabama, plus two great grandchildren, Jack and Sadie, as well as a multitude of cousins and great friends. Ginger was the consummate Southern Belle and lived a wonderful life. She was a full-time mother to Mike, Mark, and Melissa; and was the business manager for the family business, South Baldwin Automotive Supply in Gulf Shores. Ginger was always highly active in the lives of her children, as a home room mom and band mom, fixing meals for sports teams and band members. In addition, she was active in the Foley PTA, serving as President, and leading the project to air condition the Foley Schools. In addition, as the time of her death, Ginger was an active member of the Board of Directors, Baldwin County Department of Human Resources. Ginger was an active member of Gulf Shores Presbyterian Church, where she served as Treasurer, Deacon, and Elder for decades. Later in her life, they moved their membership to First Presbyterian Church in Foley, where Ginger continued her dedicated service, as an Elder and Delegate to Mobile Presbytery. Ginger was a proud graduate of Foley High School, Class of 1957, and remained active with her classmates her entire life, often coordinating class reunions, dinners, and outings. Ginger had many great friends: her sister from another mother, Pat Ward; neighbor and classmate Melba Hamburg; and dear friends Barbara White and Ceann Wachter. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 13 th at First Presbyterian Church, 195 E. Berry Ave, Foley, Alabama 36535 at 3:30pm. The family will receive visitors from 2:30pm-3:15pm at the church. A family graveside service will be held at 5:00pm, Pine Rest Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in Ginger’s memory be made to either First Presbyterian Church in Foley or Presbyterian Home for Children/Alabama.
