Mr Ronald Louis Mannich

Ronald ( Ron, Ronnie ) Louis Mannich, age 84, passed away on October 20, 2021, at Thomas Hospital. Ronald was born on April 17, 1937. He was retired from the farming industry with a degree from Mississippi State University in agriculture. He loved sitting on the back porch with his wife as they looked out their "Window on the world" to keep up with the ever changing weather, the farming of the land around them and all the wild birds and animals that came to visit. He was in the Army Reserves. He loved watching his Mississippi State Bulldogs play as well as Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints. He was an active member of the Marlow United Methodist Church for 84 years in which he was the church treasurer for 45 years and also served on many different committees. He served as fire chief at the Marlow Volunteer Fire Department for approximately 7 years. He enjoyed working the polls on voting day. He loved his family dearly. He was a loving husband to his wonderful wife for almost 60 years, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother in law, father in law and friend to so many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Mannich. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Mannich, 3 children Lucretia ( Bill ) Davis, Wayne Mannich & Rebecca ( Mike ) Frolik. He also truly loved his grandchildren: Amber & Danny Cornell, Maegan & Trevor McGee, Caleb & Amy Davis, Brandon Frolik, Hope Johnson & Michaela Frolik. He had 9 beautiful great grandchildren: Christopher, Abby, Emma, Bella, Vera, Eli, Rory, Christopher & Ezra. He loved his 2 sister in laws, Donna Crowder & Barbara Humphries & his sister Mary Ann Underwood. The family would like to thank the staff at Thomas Hospital and also at Robertsdale Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Marlow United Methodist Church at 16135 Co. Rd. 9, Summerdale, AL 36580 or to the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute in Fairhope at 1660 Springhill Ave. Mobile, AL 36604. Funeral arrrangements have been made for October 29, 2021 with visitation from 9-11 a.m. in the Marlow Historic Sanctuary followed by a celebration of life next door in the River Crossing Sanctuary. Internment will follow at the Marlow Cemetery.
