Mrs. Wanda Sue Harbison Klein

A lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore, passed away after a long illness on December 5, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Patrick "Rick" Klein Jr., parents Melvin and Irene Harbison, father-in-law Joseph "Joe" Patrick Klein Sr., siblings James "Jimmy" Harbison, Barbara Harbison Young, and Wayne Harbison, sister-in-law Edna "Cooky" Kennard beloved niece and nephew Jennifer Harbison and Steven Harbison. She is survived by daughter, Mary Melissa (Damien) Williams, grandson Mychal Patrick, brother Raymond (Margaret Harbison, sister Janice Harbison Young, honorary sibling/cousin Doris Davis, sister-in-law Karen "Kay" McCain and brothers-in-law Michael "Mike" Klein, Roy Klein and Robert "Bobby" Klein, and many, many, many nieces, nephews, great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Not Long after graduating from Fairhope High School, Class of 1969, she became licensed cosmetologist, working for many years for Dot Cometti. By 1981, she graduated nursing school and became on LPN, or as she would say "Little Pretend Nurse". Many years were spent working across Mobile and Baldwin Counties at various nursing and assisted living homes, and in 1991 stated working for Dr. Robert Meichner. For 15 years she worked alongside him, as well as becoming a good friend and confidant. Once retiring from his office and working a brief time for Dr. Helvacioglu, she went back to her roots and worked for the next several years at Carroll Place. It was there she met good friend and as soon to be business partner, and a dream was born.... Golden Rule Senior Care. Over the next decade and longer, she serviced her community by doing what she loved! Many families were touched by her generosity and the care she put into every single client and care giver alike, holding her license for 44 years before retiring earlier in the year. Living her life like the name of her business, Susie always did her best to live life to the fullest. Caring deeply for her family, loving her God and church, she was truly the life of the party. She found joy and laughter in everyday things, from the smallest of the small to the biggest of the big, sunshine in human form. She had a sharp wit and even sharper tongue, when need be, the first to love on you and first to put you in your place. She will be forever and greatly missed; her star now shines brighter than ever. Services will be held on December 20, 2025, at 11AM at New Restoration House in Foley, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Women's Care Medical Center in Robertsdale, AL.
