Mr Donald Lee Cox

Donald Lee Cox, 77, of Foley, AL, passed away on October 25, 2022 Donald Cox was born on December 17, 1944, to Everett Earl Cox and Edna Laura (Kinchloe) Cox in New Harmony, In. After graduating from New Harmony High School in Indiana, years later he furthered his education at Bishop State for 2 years, and Purpose Institute for 4 years. He met and fell in love with Christine Cox. They were married in 1972 in Evansville, In, and have been married for 50 years, and were with each other through all of life's ups and downs. Donald Cox and Christine Cox would go on to have 3 children, Lori Anne Cox, Mark Anthony Cox and Rachel Denise Deisner. Donald Cox was a wonderful and devoted father, husband and papal. He always taught us to love the Lord with all your heart and supported us all throughout the many accomplishments and difficulties of our lives. When Donald wasn't at home he could be found at church. He was an active member of Redemption Church. He retired from Foley High School with 25 years. Where he went on to work for Brett -Robinson and Caribe Resort. Donald Cox was small in stature but a spiritual giant. What he lacked in size he made in heart. The many prayers he prayed will live on in his absence. His death leaves a void in our hearts, his family and church family and his community but we rest in assurance that he “fought the good fight, finished his course and kept faith”. Well done good and faithful servant”! Donald Cox was preceded by parents, Everett and Edna Cox, Helen Winiger his sister, Robert Cox his brother, Jane Giles his sister, Betty Williams his sister, William Cox his brother, Harold Cox his brother, Gerald Cox his brother. Lori Ann Cox his daughter. He is survived by Christine Cox his wife, Mark Cox his Son and Rachel Deisner (Gary Deisner) his daughter, Mary Jean Rhodermund (Carl Rhodermund) his sister, and Mason Deisner his Grandson, Bailey Phillips (Austin Phillips) his granddaughter, Tucker Cox his grandson and Ein Cox his grandson and Lilie Cox his granddaughter and Brooks Phillips his great-grandson. There will be a funeral service on October 31, 2022, at Redemption Church 18109 US Hwy 98 Foley, AL 36535. Visitation from 9 AM to 11 AM, service will follow, with graveside at Pine Rest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Christine Cox at 311 W. Camphor Ave., Foley, AL 36535
